CRITICAL ITEMS NEEDED

for The Prayer Vigil for the Earth

If you can provide any of these items for all or part of the weekend,
please contact the Vigil at 703-620-2577 or oneprayer4@aol.com.

Please leave your name, phone number, and the item(s) you can supply.
  1. Donated items: Bring all donated items Friday afternoon, Oct.19 to the center of the Prayer Vigil Circle.

  2. Make sure to clearly mark all the items you want to retrieve after the Prayer Vigil with your name and telephone # with a Sharpie or other water proof pen.

  3. Loaned items: After set-up on Friday afternoon, bring your items to the Information Center when you arrive at the Mall.

  4. We will have Security people present throughout the Vigil to ensure the safety of all your items.

Donations are tax-deductible!

WE NEED:

  • Split hard wood for the Sacred Fire
  • Tobacco – in pouches
  • Prairie Sage
  • Cedar – cut from Cedar bushes
  • Industrial strength clear plastic bags
  • Generators, at least one "quiet" generator for the sound system
  • Bottled water in gallon and liter containers
  • Sound System & Lapel or hand-held microphones
  • Canopies – 8’x8’, 8’x10’, 10’x10’, and larger
  • Industrial strength surge protector power strips
  • Heavy-duty extension cords, 25’ and 100’
  • Coffee pots 40 cup (approx) or larger for hot water
  • Large ice chests
  • Large and Hand-held Flashlights & Lanterns, for use by Security and Elders
  • Large umbrellas, for use by Elders and others if needs be
  • Cots, Blankets and pillows for First Aid Area inside Information Center
